COR-TEN SHEETS, RESISTANT TO ANY ATMOSPHERIC CORROSION

The anti-corrosion properties of COR-TEN, make it the ideal solution in outdoor and non-outdoor constructions.COR-TEN sheets, due to their chemical composition, develop a durable surface patina, which is formed within 18-36 months under normal atmospheric conditions, provided that the steel surface is regularly wetted and dried. Initially the surface rusts to a brownish-red color, but over time, the rust layer becomes denser with a darker color, thus protecting the steel from further corrosion.

Erosion is faster in industrial areas, with more air pollution than in rural areas. The need for low cost of purchase, installation and maintenance, make COR-TEN, the ideal material in any metal construction. Also due to the aesthetic nature of the material, COR-TEN, is used in modern building architecture, art and sculpture.
